Vreni

Vreni is a girl's name of Latin origin and comes from the term vereri, meaning "respect" and "revere." Vreni is also the Swiss variant of Verena and one of the country's most famous names due to Vreni Schnider's exploits. In 1988, at 23, she exploded onto the scene at her maiden Winter Olympics event by winning two gold medals in the slalom.
